Princess Breakfast Adventures is a fun and relaxing way to guarantee that you will meet multiple princesses at Disneyland. It is definitely on the pricey side but can be a special experience for any little girl that would love some quality time with some of her favorites. This three-course experience is located at Napa Rose inside the Grand Californian Hotel and requires reservations. Remember that this is an experience, it isn’t just a meal. Part of the experience is that you don’t feel rushed. When waiting in line at the Parks, there is always a pressure to be quick with long queues of waiting people. At this breakfast, you can leisurely enjoy your food and meet Princesses when you are ready. You won’t get this kind of face time with princesses anywhere else.

*TIP: do not choose to be seated towards the end of breakfast! If you are going to enjoy this experience, choose to be seated before 10:00 am. We were seated later and our experience could have been better if we weren’t on the “clean up” end of things.

When you begin you experience, you will meet one princess when you enter the Napa Rose Lounge at the Grand Californian Hotel. Plan to wait in line to check in, and then to wait in a lounge for your table to be ready. After an unrushed meet and greet, you will be brought to your table for you breakfast experience. Your menu will be brought out in three courses, with a beverage menu coming out first.

The menu includes a lengthy drink menu entitled Royal Morning Libations. We don’t do alcohol, so we are no help in that department. The non-alcoholic options were between $12-20. Milk, Juice, coffee, and soft drinks are included.

Our first course was a tiered Appetizer tray. Both sweet and savory options were delicious. Tiana’s beignets were probably our favorite! We also enjoyed the coconut chia pudding, cranberry scone, and cinnamon twists. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was beautifully presented and well done.

Between each course we met the other princesses. For some of the princesses, a Disney Photopass photographer was present and all the photographs they took were included as digital downloads via the Disneyland App. For some princesses, we just took our own photos. They had cast members to take pictures with your own camera when there was not a photographer. Most meet and greets are out on patios, and for the most part they have good lighting and backdrops. Sometimes we would be able to immediately greet the princess, other times we had a party or two ahead of us.

Second, we visited the buffet for our main dish. The main dish is changed seasonally and is all served buffet style. There were plenty of options for both adults and smaller guests to enjoy. We both enjoyed Mickey shaped waffles with crisp chicken and syrup, as well as traditional bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. We also enjoyed the fruit skewers. For less breakfast-y options, we also enjoyed macaroni and cheese and braised pork tenderloin. While there were plenty of options, my 9-year-old only found a few things she enjoyed.

We left our meal several times to go and meet princesses- this is where an early seating would be helpful. Towards the end of the scheduled mealtime, it is usually the last time a princess is going to come out, so even if you just got a plate of food, you leave your table to go and greet them. If you dine earlier in the morning, you can enjoy your meal and wait until the next time they come out (they will be out for 20-30 minutes, take a break, and then come back.)

Last but not least- DESSERT! We were pretty full at this point, but the dessert options were beautifully presented! Each dessert gave a nod to a specific princess. The selection of desserts included princess cake pops, raspberry tarts, Princess and the Frog macarons, and Raspberry Sorbet with Cotton Candy. All are perfectly bite sized, which is great after two other courses. If you can’t eat them, they will pack them up for you to take with you!

At the end of your brunch experience, you are gifted with a card signed by all the princesses, a button, and a tote bag to commemorate your visit. Princesses received a beautiful crown necklace, and the princes were given a foam sword and shield.

Was it worth it? For us, a special Mother/Daughter trip was a good reason to do something we wouldn’t normally do (and because I try everything to give our clients the best information about everything Disney offers). If you love princesses, this is the best way to interact with them one on one. The brunch is definitely more delicious than something you would find at Denney’s or Ihop, but the cuisine is not the reason to visit. If you have a little one that would love to dress up and enjoy the extra face time and slower paced meeting of her favorites, this could be a perfect addition to your Disney itinerary.
