Hi, Janette here. I recently enjoyed a hotel stay at The Hyatt Place in Anaheim, a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel. It is less than one mile from the Disneyland Resort and around the corner from the Anaheim Convention Center. The rooms are spacious with a sofa bed and extra space to relax at the end of a long day. The room was very clean too! Hyatt Place serves complimentary hot breakfast with a large variety of items. It is a great spot for a larger family wanting a great Disney experience.
Don’t confuse this location with the nearby Hyatt House. Properties are very similar, but this review will focus on the Hyatt Place.
Accommodations
Hyatt Place offers two room types. Each room has your standard hotel inclusions like a TV, mini refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, bathtub/shower combo plus a sofa sleeper. One of the most attractive things about this property is that it can easily sleep 6 people and you aren't on top of each other. The spacious rooms and arrangement of the beds make it quite comfortable for larger families.
The 2 Queen, Standard room sleeps up to 6 with a sofa sleeper. There is a divider between the 2 queen beds and the sofa bed. Bathrooms are remodeled and well updated.
The other type room at the Hyatt Place is a 1 King family suite- including a set of bunk beds plus a sofa sleeper. This room also sleeps up to 6. I love how this room has a door to shut off the king bed area and the bunk beds with sofa sleeper room. Either room type is perfect for families.
Close to Disneyland
Hyatt Place is located less than a mile from Disneyland. You can walk about 15 minutes up Harbor Blvd to the entrance to the Parks. There is also an ART shuttle bus stop across the street if you are looking or convenience (the ART bus has an additional fee). Alternately, you can walk up to the closest traffic light, cross the street and walk through the parking lot and get a ride on one of the Toy Story Parking lot buses for free. This is an especially attractive option at night when little feet are tired of walking and parents don't want to carry them! You aren’t too far from the Garden Walk, or other local restaurants.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included with your stay, and is served over a 2-3 hour period each morning. In addition to milk, juices, coffee, bagels and donuts (like a traditional continental breakfast), will also find items such as bacon, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes and more. During our stay they did a fabulous job of keep thing things hot and restocked for guests to enjoy. We mostly did grab and go- we prioritize sleep and Park time over a sit down breakfast! Overall, the variety each day was good, and the food quality was what you would expect at a similar hotel.
Parking
Self-parking is available for $28/day. We did not use this option during our stay.
Other Amenities
Some of the other amenities include free Wifi, an exercise room, and a 24-hour gallery market with items for purchase. There is a computer and a printer in the lobby for complimentary use. There is an outdoor, heated pool and hot tub for guests to enjoy.
My Review
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Place. The clean, spacious rooms were very comfortable. I liked the two separate spaces to lounge in. While it’s a bit of a walk to the parks, I really liked the ability to walk over to the Toy Story Parking lot and hop on a bus for free. The Hyatt Place is also within walking distance of several restaurants which made it convenient for meals. I would totally stay here again in the future!
